Alaways check the status of your cutting machine blades. They might cause uneven cuts and wastage of materials
Even when these visible snags are removed, there’s still adhesive stuck on the blade itself but its hard to see. I clean mine blade with this adhesive remover, I also use it on scissors to keep them sharp. They make cleaner cuts when they are clean as well 
This is so true, I clean my blade with a ball of aluminum foil too

Really true tip, Sometimes it starts to cut wrong and we just don´t take a moment to think it can be something as simple as that (time to use aluminium foil) or just recalibrate force.
