This section of the Community doesn’t seem to get many posts and I would love to read more about the things you are making, the best tips you’ve learned, where you go for inspiration, anything you want to throw out there for this newbie to read and learn from.
I’m enjoying my laser very much. I’ve been sticking to small items and learning about settings for different materials. One thing I read somewhere, is that one should keep a journal of the settings you have found that work for you and that’s been very helpful to me. I typically go by the suggested settings but me being me, I of course must play with the settings to get the result I want.
I would enjoy seeing more about the iEngrave and what everyone is using it for.
I agree, it would be nice to see more iEngrave projects and tutorials. Our lovely @rinsky has some iEngrave videos on her YouTube channel you might want to check out.
You can find more iEngrave projects under the Inspiration category. Just type iEngrave in the tags box, once you enter the Inspiration section, as that’s where most of the projects are uploaded.
You may come across some iEngrave projects in our weekly events, too, such as the Valentine’s Day - Crafting Love event we have going on right now. However, it’s been kind of slow lately. But we do get iEngrave projects quite often. We’d love to see your projects being entered once you get the hang of your machine.
This iEngrave section is mainly used for questions, troubleshooting, etc., which may help you with certain issues. If you ever have a problem or question, you can always type it in the search bar, and have a look through the existing topics, or start your own topic and ask away, if you don’t find what you’re looking for there.
We do have some helpful tips here, but you may have checked it out already:
Do you have any specific questions about your machine? If so, I can tag some people that may be able to help you. I don’t have the iEngrave, myself, but I do know those who have the machine and do a great job with it, that will be able to offer you the best advice.
Yes, you have many excellent projects in the Inspiration > iEngrave section. When you publish your iEngrave projects, I think, they’re automatically tagged as iEngrave, if you select the iEngrave as the Machine Used when uploading. I found many of your projects when I went to the Inspiration section and typed iEngrave in the tags box.
Thanks for the tips. I will most definitely check out the Inspirations section of the community. I have checked out many YouTube videos from people using various engravers, including the iEngrave and I have fount them to be helpful.
