Believe in yourself!

Hello my fellow crafters! I have talked about self doubts in past post so today it’s the reminder to believe in yourself! It’s not always the easiest thing to do! Loving to create but not sure how it will come across is a line we all walk. But sometimes just making something that means a lot to you is what comes across the best. I am fairly low maintenance at least I like to think I am…. Crafting is my biggest purchases I don’t do crazy purses or shoes I don’t care what brand my clothing is most food does not need a brand label on it. But I have some what I say is goofy things that have meaning to me Halloween just ended but it’s a time of year I love to make things that remind me of a special memory with my grandma and I put more of what I would want to see in to and I believe it comes across. Next is Christmas I have a lot of reasons Christmas is special and oddly is from not so great memories I was pleased in foster care 2 days before Christmas at 7 years old with my 5 siblings so I took Christmas back for myself won gingerbread contest in high school and now I decorate because I want to and can I have been working on a gingerbread and and snow flake design in idea studio I loved the ornament I put together and it was a personal fire tuner Ed into a blaze in me. My husband tells me all the time I come up with good things but some times it’s hard when you don’t see others agreeing or getting feedback. Yes I have friend that call me for help or ask for ideas but we have a bond it’s nice when it’s a non biased third party. I may have been wordy but words are important to understand how I see things.
So look inside yourself and embrace that feeling of accomplishment and spark to create believe in yourself!

I wanted an image so sharing one not made by me but from free design fb page I kept. So save it if you would like!

Yes often everyone second guesses themselves. After creating a project and sharing it with a love one you don’t really receive the message they send. But when sharing to strangers and they love it to, then you are made to realize that it’s actually good lol.

To be fair, I sometimes welcome the self-doubt (a little bit of it at least). It reminds me that I care enough about what I do, that other people and their opinions are important, and that what I do has meaning.

You’re doing great, your projects are great, they convey love, and they have meaning.

I applaud even those others whose projects are ‘ok’ because they are at least trying, and they care enough to get the message across as best they can.

Yes, a little is ok I guess, but I dive deep down in self-doubt and then never share it because I don’t think it’s good enough. I struggle with self-doubt on the daily and causes me so much wasted time and effort. I then have to think to myself, I don’t care if anyone else likes it, I enjoyed making it and I like it (I think).

That’s exactly the right attitude.

I welcome constructive criticism, as it is (usually) given in good faith. However, those trolls who criticise and denigrate the most are usually the ones without an ounce of talent, and are likely only saying it to try to get a rise out of you.

Did I make it for them? Nope!
Did I even ask the troll’s opinion? Nope!
Do they even know what they’re talking about? Nope!
Could they even do it and do it better? Nope!

And finally:
Should I even care at all what they think or say? Absolutely not! :no_entry_sign:

Note to future self, Dave: remember this
