Blue Tint printing with White Ink backing

Hello, Has anyone figured out how to resolve the issue with the white backing color not being pure white. Mine is printing with a hint of blue. I’ve been using the printer for 6 months with no issues but I can’t seem to remember how to fix this issue. Any help out there?

Hello, @Nicky2411!:smiley: Let’s see if we can troubleshoot this issue.

White ink should never look blue. When it does, it usually means one of two things:

• The white ink wasn’t shaken, so you’re seeing the thin carrier fluid instead of the actual white pigment.
• A little cyan or light‑cyan has mixed into the white line, damper, or capping station.

Shake your white ink bottle really well, then run a nozzle check. Also wipe the capping station and wiper in case any leftover color ink is smearing into the white. If the white still looks tinted after that, the white line may have a bit of color contamination and might need a normal cleaning or a quick re‑prime to flush it out.

If you send a nozzle check, I can help you figure out exactly which channel is causing the tint.

Thank You. Let me give that a try one more time although I think I did these steps. I do have to run to work but I’ll reply here as soon as I can. Thanks again for the quick reply. Love this forum already.

Try cleaning the nozzles on the print head see if that helps.

Ok so I think I’m good. I tried all of these suggestions and the white started printing again.
