No not really, it needs maintenance just like any other machine. Main things are greasing the rods, depending how much you print will depend how often you will need to do this. I currently do a maintenance check on all my printers once a month. Generally, takes me about 3 hours or so, I have 3 printers.
Bit of a weird day today. No crafting but writing scripts and doing research. Happy hump day ![]()

So cool when ChatGPT does all the hard work for you. I got it to create a background for my bunny project.
Day #27:
Today was one of those days⦠AGAIN! Complete frustration mixed with a little bit of victory.
I ran into a clogged nozzle on the 3D printer and spent a good part of the afternoon trying to get filament moving again. It was one of those situations where you think youāve fixed it, only to realize you havenāt. After a lot of trial, patience, and a few choice words, I was finally able to get things flowing again.
Not exactly how I planned to spend the day, but itās all part of the process.
On the bright side, I was able to stay productive in other areas. I laser engraved about 200 business cards, so at least something tangible came out of the day. Itās always a good feeling to have a stack of finished pieces, even when other parts of the workflow are fighting you.
Days like this are a reminder that crafting isnāt always smooth, but pushing through the frustrating moments makes the wins feel that much better.
