🌱 Craft a Little Joy | Daily Check-in Season 4

I work for a manufacturer of very large surface mining equipment and I am still involved with scouting, though my son earned his Eagle Scout rank and aged out back in 2018. I am organizing a Mining in Society Merit Badge Clinic for our local councils for next weekend. This is about my 10th year doing this and have signed of on around 250 scouts that have earned this badge. Looking forward to another great event! This was from last year.

It is fun to get their picture next to the machines. I have to stand pretty far away to get the whole thing in. I work in the Engineering Group for the Shovels.

Another God given beautifully sunny day. Thank you Lord!
My husband is ripping carpet up, laying down luxury vinyl flooring in my soon to be bigger and and much needed studio. My small studio overflowed into our family room  Since we decided not to move for another few years when hopefully everything settles down, we are changing the mother in-law suite into my studio. It has a bathroom and extra room that is currently my tiny studio I can use for surplus. We have been packed up to move for 4 years and we are over it.
One more thing. Is anyone having an issue with the PC update for IdeaStudio? Windows is blocking me from updating it because ā€œtheyā€ don’t recognize it & don’t know where it comes from. I am not happy they even think they have a right to protect or block MY pc, Grrrrrr…
The suggestion, pretty much, is to leave feedback with my issue & they’ll give it a look to see if they want to unblock it.

Back to the grind today. Looking for some inspiration for my projects to enter the colour craft event. It’s bright and sunny today, so I might take my dog for a walk :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: and see if inspiration comes.

After successfully potty training my son I’m now on the first day of potty training my daughter they are close in age so I was just waiting for her to turn 2 so I could start. Wish me luck I’m gonna need it. Today was a bit exhausting but hopefully tomorrow is better

That’s one of the reasons I chose it; I think it’s a really big plus. I can’t wait to use it for the first time.

Day 37 — Painting Day! Not for crafts this time, but for our laundry room. It feels like these last two rooms are never‑ending projects! Something always comes up and they never get finished on schedule. But with spring break here, I’m determined to at least wrap up the laundry room and then reschedule the guest room. Happy Crafting, Beauties!

Day 37 Life is shifting under my feet a bit, so today I’m moving slowly. Creativity will return when it’s ready.

I’m also having problems with the new update on my computer—it moves layers without me telling it to, changes their sizes, or just freezes when I select something or give a command. I have to design a cake topper, and it’s really testing my patience. I haven’t tried sending it to cut yet, but I hope it doesn’t cause any more problems. I’ve submitted a bug report to see if they can fix it soon. :weary:

Thank you Lord for another beautiful day. Sunny & cold but SUNNY! Continuing to rip up carpet and put down LVF into what was a mother in law suite to my new enlarged studio. Sanding down old wooden shelving. Not sure if I’m going to paint them & add clear shelf paper or just paint them. We’ll see. We are hoping to finish the room today. Tomorrow we have to go down to my in laws home, (they passed last summer with in 45 days of each other), to gather what we would like to have before the estate sale. It’s bittersweet to say the least. My hubby is 1 of 6 children. Then on Friday hopefully begin to set up my new studio. We’ve had a ton of life altering events over the last 4 years, we are so grateful to God to have brought us through the storm. All I can say is the passing of your parents is life altering and changes you. Keep the faith and know one day we will all be together again.
Have an AMAZING BLESS DAY!
