No craft today. Hopefully I feel for it tomorrow.
Today is a good steady day. I have a few shirt orders to complete, an order delivery to make. I also received my prints for a window decal install. Not too much. Just a nice steady flow.
I hope everyone is having a great day.
Day 38: Slowly working thru an order for shirts. 5 presses per shirt is the easy part - weeding a detailed fish for each is trying my patience, not gonna lie.
Sorry Iāve been absent for a few days. I got a shingles shot and itās made me feel horrible. Canāt stay awake. Feel so dizzy. Yuk! Today I feel a little better.
I cut a nice little test triangle out of mine. Ugh
Lol, yeah, I used a little too much force on some faux leather with the deep-point blade, and it sliced a 3" butterfly wing-shaped line right in the center of the mat.
The leather shifted during the cut and left the mat bare, so all it had was the mat to cut on on the 2nd pass. And that was after I did a test cut on a little square that cut just fine. Thatās 2 strong grip mats that Iāve sliced through in about 2 months. ![]()
Yay, welcome to the iPaint Krew! ![]()
I thought youād managed to get Print Then Cut working well on your iCraft; is it 2 steps forward, 1 step back?
Oh, it cuts perfectly on matte materials ā which is what I calibrated on ā but you have to run a separate calibration for each type of material youāre using. They have matte material, glossy material, transparent material, holographic material, and a bunch of custom material calibrations. And the fact you have to run 4-5 calibrations to get the alignment perfect, means you have to waste 2 sheets of whatever material youāre calibrating for ā I donāt like that idea, at all. I donāt understand why calibrating on a piece of plain paper doesnāt work for all of the materials. As long as itās lined up on the mat perfectly, and the lines get read, I donāt see why itās not universal. I refuse to waste 2 perfectly good sheets of glossy printable vinyl just to calibrate. I will use my other machine for glossy stickers, and leave my Loklik for matte materials only.
I mean, I donāt even use matte sticker paper for calibrating, why would I use even more expensive glossy paper to do it?
If thatās the case, they should send each material type with the machine for calibrating.
Thank you!
Iām excited. I havenāt sold too many at the current location due to lack of traffic so Iām hoping this new place will make up for some of the money Iāve lost in rental fees. ![]()
Great gift if another day. Thank you Jesus. We drove down to my in laws home to ready it for an estate sale. The closing is April 30. No crafting today but I did find some really nice peel & stick vinyl flooring left over from the makeover my brother in law did there. I needed to cover the old wooden shelves in the closet in my soon to be new improved studio & just said yesterday I would need to find some to do just that. God is so good. Hoping everyones day was/is AWESOME & FULL OF GODS BLESSINGS.
Of course! And oh yes, I know how frustrating it is to put money into a space and not see it come back. Fingers crossed this new spot makes all the difference for you. ![]()
Thursday⦠mentally drained have a primaicare appt to set up care out intone instead of the va and itās already slot trying to give a condensed version of my medical stuff I know I get ignored and stuff not looked at or taken seriously I get I am 37 for 16 days but this has been at least 13 years of being pretty much ignored from my age vs what medical says so hopefully this brings better care then using the va directly. My brain is fried and I will probably be going to sleep early then normal tonight⦠and maybe tomorrow play with my iEngrave.
I still to this day have not gotten my print and cut to work on mate material yet! ![]()

You should check out this thread. I received an update from her today, and sheās getting perfect PTCs using my process that I shared in a video with her.
With the new update, they also improved the actual PTC offset, it does help a little, but I still prefer my way. However, like I said, I had to run 4 or 5 calibrations to get 0s across the board, but it works perfectly on matte materials, now. Iām sure it would work perfectly on glossy, but nope, Iām not wasting glossy paper for calibrating. ![]()
Now I get to figure this thing out may need patience and guidance lol!
Itās very easy to assemble and get started. You can watch my setup guide that I posted in here 3 days ago if you need some guidance.
Thanks you so does it paint the picture or only the sketch like paint by numbers
