Day 2 staring at this mess wondering how I’ll ever get my craft studio to come together. And, no, I still haven’t gone to the storage unit to grab those boxes of very important stuff. Too overwhelmed with it all. Too bad my witchy nose is broken. Otherwise, I would have it all together with just one twitch.

Day 2 - last night, my future daughter-in-law sent a video of all the students in her school lip syncing to various songs from 2010. The video made me smile, especially with her doing one of the snippets, but I now have Katy Perry singing Daisy dukes, bikinis on top reverberating over and over in my head. Might be a long day.
Side note - has anyone engraved on the cute little mini toolboxes? Not sure if they are global but they’re about 10x6, maybe 8" tall and come in 7 or 8 fun colors. I got myself one and one for my granddaughter who’s turning 3 in a couple weeks. I want to engrave this on the top of mine but am having anxiety about having to lift the engraver on blocks to get it to fit.

Good morning! Yeah, all of the furniture that will fit in this space is here. I just don’t have all of my equipment and supplies that I need to fill my cabinets and stuff as it’s all in the storage unit. I can’t even see what’s in the boxes without taking them all down and looking at the top. I wrote everything on the top of the boxes, not expecting them to even go into the storage unit, but that’s what happened due to the rain and having uncles that complained about having to help the entire time. I didn’t call them, my mom did. I would’ve preferred they just stayed home, honestly. They just added more stress to the whole situation.

Nostalgia from childhood.

Pennants of Adventure

When I think about the start of summer, my mind doesn’t go to a beach, a pool, or even a backyard barbecue. It goes back to family road trips. At the end of each adventure, my parents had a tradition. Instead of buying expensive souvenirs, they would let me pick out a felt pennant to remember the trip. …

Your timing is impeccable. I just got off the phone with our parish priest. I’m having to do paperwork for my son to get married and need to be interviewed. We got on the subject of going to mass and I said it has been hard for me to go since my Mom passed and that was 12 years ago. He gave me his cell number and told me to call him and he’ll help me talk thru the hurt. I don’t think the hurt ever goes away. It just changes to memories and you just have to hold onto those tightly. She’s with you and around you, all the time.

Hi lovely people. Today I tried out some envelopes from the library and they turned out so nice.

Unfortunately I also found out that some of the things I used before are now payment files.

@Samantha_Bryant well you’ve made good progress but it sounds like you’re still a ways off from being in place, but it should be good when you get there one moving box at a time. I’m sending lots of good thoughts your way.

Day 2: Today I’m taking it easy since the physical therapist really worked me over and tried dry needling to see if it helps my knee get better.

Hey, awesome! Those are the envelopes SVGs I submitted a few months ago! You did an amazing job with them! The heart one works really well as a pillow box if you use cardstock. It doesn’t lay flat, rather it is more like a pillow for putting 3D stuff in it.

Thanks so much for the good vibes. I will slowly and steadily make progress on my studio. I have some time today, so I think I’ll head over to the storage in a little bit and see what all I can do.
