To celebrate the first year of our HTVRONT and Loklik Community, I created a 14x14cm Print then Cut card fully designed in Idea Studio. I used assets from the library, including our little blue mascot Hoki, a Happy Anniversary title made with IS fonts, some festive confetti and a group of silhouettes that bring the celebration to life. The card has a simple outer cut, a separate cut for Hoki’s silhouette, and another one with its offset. This lets me place the Hoki cutout inside the card so we can see him through the front panel, and when the card opens he appears again, like a cute guest at the party.
Inside, I added a message dedicated to our community inspired by the Idea Studio motto. Instead of “Inspiring your creativity” I drew “1 year inspiring our creativity together” with a turquoise gel pen using the Pen function on the Crafter. I also used the empty spaces left on the sheet for three small Hokis with a little hole so I can hang them to to keep me company and decorate my craft space, altogether a perfect match with the stand I made for the 7th anniversary.
In the shared project I included four colour versions inspired by the HTVRONT and Loklik palettes plus a violet one (I felt like for the celebration).
This community has become a warm and trusted place for me. I have made friendships I truly value, and I feel safe while I work because I know that whenever I have a question there will always be someone ready to help with their own strengths and experience. I love being able to share tips and knowledge, knowing that we all learn from each other.
I have discovered new techniques, met inspiring people and taken part in weekly activities that make this space feel like home. This card is my way of saying thank you for the fun, the support and the feeling of belonging that this community has given me.
