LokLik IEngraver Project: Phrase “When life gets blurry adjust your focus”!!! Life has been blurry to me…
I originally created this design for a t-shirt, but I loved it so much that I decided to engrave it on wood using my LokLik IEngraver. The message behind it truly speaks to me: “When life gets blurry, adjust your focus.”
From designing to cutting and engraving, every step was intentional. This piece now serves as a daily reminder to stay centered, stay driven, and stay focused because life can give you blurred vision.
Here’s how I made it:
Material Prep: I picked up a few smooth pieces of wood from Dollar Tree and made sure each surface was clean and ready for engraving. The other wood came in a engraving set that I purchased off amazon.
Engraving Process: Using my LokLik IEngraver, I carefully aligned the design and started the engraving process. Each piece took about 15 minutes to complete. The black wood took 45 min & my face looks scary lol…
Finishing Touches: Once engraved, I lightly wiped down the surface to remove any residue and admired the results. I’m so happy with how they turned out!
I tested this design on four materials in total:
Three wood finishes — black wood (I didn’t love how my face came out, but it matched the quote perfectly), brown wood, and natural wood. The natural wood was my favorite, and brown wood came in second.
One acrylic piece — it engraved nicely, but I wasn’t as happy with the finish compared to the wood.
Each material gave a slightly different look and texture, but the natural wood captured the warmth and meaning of FOCUSED best. Right now, I’m adjusting my focus & channeling that same focus into growing my small business — one project at a time.
