DIY Project Sharing | Thanksgiving Loved Mirror. Smile, you are loved

Smile, you are loved

This piece was born from a mistake that turned into something beautiful. I first sublimated this mirror with a lovely design, but I forgot the mirror mode, so it came out backwards. Instead of throwing it away, I decided to give it a second life using the LOKLiK iPaint.

With warm acrylic tones, I painted soft autumn leaves and added the vinyl phrase “Smile, you are loved.” Because with love, everything can begin again, even what once seemed broken.

Step by step:
Reuse the sublimated mirror as a base.
Apply a coffee-toned acrylic background and let dry.
Paint autumn leaves in layers of orange, green, and bronze.
Add the vinyl phrase once fully dry.
Finish with a light coat of UV resin or varnish for shine.

Materials:
Reused sublimation mirror
LOKLiK iPaint acrylics
Adhesive vinyl (black or gold)
Paintbrushes
Varnish or UV resin

Pro tips:
Don’t fear mistakes, every mark tells a story.
Thin acrylic layers dry better and reveal more depth.
Use what you already have; sometimes “broken” bases create the most emotional pieces.
Gratitude changes everything you make.
Because creativity is love in action, and love always finds a way to start over.
