Hello, @Stephanie_Whitlatch. I’m sorry you’re having this issue with your printer. Here are some common reasons and possible fixes. If they don’t work, HTVRONT may request you either send it in for repair, or will offer a replacement. I’ve included the support link at the bottom of this post.
The lack of “stirring” noise indicates the
white ink circulation pump (or motor) is likely dead, disconnected, or jammed, causing the white ink to clog in the dampers and lines, resulting in weak, patchy coverage. To fix this, manually clean the white ink system with a syringe and cleaning solution, check the pump’s electrical connection, and replace the motor if necessary.
Issues and Solutions Summary
-
No “Stirring” Noise: This usually means the white ink agitator motor or pump has failed, or the connection is loose.
- Fix: Ensure the printer has power, and check if the pump motor is receiving power. If the motor is dead, it will need to be replaced.
-
White Ink Not Flowing (Round Filter/Damper): Because the stirring/circulation stopped, white ink has likely settled and solidified, creating air bubbles or blockages.
- Fix: Use a syringe to manually draw cleaning solution through the white ink lines and dampers to remove clogs.
-
Weak White Background: This is a symptom of the clogged lines preventing enough ink from reaching the print head.
- Fix: After clearing the lines, perform a deep head cleaning and a nozzle check.
Immediate Maintenance Steps
-
Check Connections: Ensure all wires leading to the white ink pump are securely connected.
-
Manually Prime Ink: Pull white ink through the dampers to remove air.
-
Clean Capping Station: The white ink may have solidified on the wiper or cap, requiring cleaning with a swab and cleaning fluid.
-
Replace Filter: If the round filter is clogged with sludge, it must be replaced to allow proper flow.
If the stir motor does not come on after ensuring the printer is fully powered on, it is highly likely that the motor itself needs replacement. Contact HTVRONT support
