First Attempt Phone Case

Okay, just completed my first phone case using the Htvront Phone Case press. My settings were 275°F for 306 seconds. The original and the cae are pictured. It’s not as vibrant as I thought. What went wrong?

What type of material is the phone case? It appears to be plastic. Am I assuming correctly?

For plastic cases, 275°F for 300-350 secs is recommended. Maybe, you just lifted the press too soon.

Also, did you do the initial 5-minute warmup for the machine’s fixture and the 2–10 second preheat cycle for the sublimation film during the press itself?

Did you do a hot peel or cold peel? Hot peel is recommended.

It looks really good for a first try, though!:+1:

Edit: I think you should share this phone case in this post: :gift: Share Your H17 Projects and Win Bonus Film Supplies

I’ll try doing it for longer next time and increasing the temperature. I did do the 5 minute warmup. Thanks!

Color can sometimes be affected by a few different factors, such as temperature, pressing time, and also the printing settings used for the design.

A small FAQ thread was just put together recently that covers some of the common questions around color results with H17, along with camera pads and vacuum setup. It might be helpful to take a look
