I think the majority of projects I make are for my family. They get the successes and the fails hahahaha. But all the projects are made with love.

We always do pumpkin carving for Halloween, that’s when my boys join in crafting and being creative.

My daughter and I craft all the time together. I always make birthday cards, anniversary cards and cards for all the special occasions. My Dads 80th birthday is coming up and I just made him this card.

I absolutely love creating handmade things for my family. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of helping with my niece’s bridal shower, making countless items for her baby shower, crafting special pieces for her daughter’s first birthday, and now so many things for her to wear!

My sister (her mom) is quite a bit older than me, so my niece has always felt more like a sister than a niece—and my kids even call her “Auntie”!

Here are a few of the things I’ve made for these special occasions. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them!

:christmas_tree: December 2012 — I remember that year vividly. I was eight months pregnant with my first child, and my doctor had given me a due date in mid-January 2013. One week before Christmas Eve, I asked my husband to drive me to Jo-Ann’s Fabric & Crafts Store so we could shop together. I told him, “I want to do a Christmas craft with you and the baby.”

We found an unfinished ceramic ornament—plain white, with no facial expressions on any of the characters. I finished painting it in two days, then baked and cured it in the oven the following day. I was so happy with how it turned out—the colors I chose, the facial expressions, and all the little details came together beautifully. I was thrilled because this was our very first Christmas Family Ornament made together.

Then, on January 4, 2013—eleven days earlier than expected—our daughter was born. I like to think she was just as excited to see the ornament we created as we were. Since then, it’s become a tradition to place that ornament in the center of our mantel, surrounded by other Christmas decorations.

Every year, we receive so many compliments from in-laws, friends, and visitors who come by during the holidays. That little ornament holds so much love and memory—it’s the beginning of our family’s Christmas story.

I’m going to share two different things

My family literally knows me as a crafter and I’ll pretty much do everything. Well I decorated my own wedding and threw and decorated my own baby shower  if I know how to make plates I’d probably do that too.

Game cards, gifts/prizes, centerpieces, bing cards booklets…… honey I was 8months pregnant decorating. Well my husband and children and friends and god parents and grandparents help bring my vision in but nothing was purchased aside from things that had to be like table clothes. We even had a onesie decoration station. Now mind you I wasn’t carrying my htvront press so yall forgive me lol but momma couldn’t bring the big baby!

So a friend of mine cuts wood shapes so one thing we do for Christmas as a family is entire an ugly sweater contest that we all participate in and also paint something. This past year I was freshly in postpartum so I didn’t get to entire the ugly sweater contest but we definitely painted well together.

I made a lot of things but some of them I forgot to take pictures :woman_facepalming:

This card I gave to my daughter on her birthday (I can’t remember how old she was at the time )

When she moved to a new apartment, she ask me to do something to celebrate her anniversary, it was cute I guess

These frames I made to put on my grandkids room, I need to make one more, since my youngest granddaughter were born this January

And of course I can’t forget my granddaughter wish: a princess birthday

A few days ago, it was Mom’s birthday. And finally, retirement too.

Unfortunately, the canvas got a little damaged during several transports, so I had to change my original idea. I even added an LED strip. But still, it wasn’t supposed to be like that.

This is a beautiful picture. I love the selection of flowers and the diagonal placement really made photo pop! I love it!
