How I Created My Design Using IdeaStudio, Microsoft Print to PDF, and RIIN Software

Hey creative fam! I’ve been using IdeaStudio for over 8 months, and today I learned something that made me laugh at myself — I finally figured out how to save an image properly. If you’ve ever designed something beautiful and then didn’t know how to save it (like me ), this tutorial is for you.
I’m walking you through how I created a design that was bigger than my Loklik canvas, how I saved it using Microsoft Print to PDF, and how I added extra text in RIIN software just because I was playing around and having fun.
Let’s get into it.

:art: Step 1: Create Your Design in IdeaStudio
• I opened IdeaStudio and built my design like I normally do — layering text, graphics, and layout.
• The design ended up being larger than my Loklik canvas, which meant I needed a different way to save it without shrinking or losing quality.

:floppy_disk: Step 2: Save the Design Using Microsoft Print to PDF
This is the part I just learned today!
• Instead of exporting as PNG or JPEG, I went to Print inside IdeaStudio.
• For the printer option, I selected “Microsoft Print to PDF.”
• This allowed me to save the full-size design exactly as it was, even though it was bigger than my canvas.
• I named the file and saved it to my computer — clean, crisp, and ready for the next step.

:jigsaw: Step 3: Upload the PDF to RIIN Software
Now the fun part.
• I opened RIIN software and uploaded the PDF.
• Once it loaded, I started playing around with text — adding a Bible verse, testing fonts, and exploring features I hadn’t used before.
• RIIN let me tweak the design even more, which was perfect since I was experimenting.

:star2: Bonus Tip: How to Save an Image in IdeaStudio
This is the gem I wish I’d known months ago.
• After finishing your design, look for the download/export option.
• You can save your design as a PNG or PDF depending on what you need.
• If you’ve been screenshotting or trying to recreate designs manually… trust me, this will change your life.

:sparkling_heart: Final Thoughts
Even after months of designing, I’m still learning new tricks — and that’s the beauty of being a maker. If you’ve ever felt unsure about saving your work or working around canvas size limits, I hope this helps you feel more confident.
We’re all learning together, and sharing what we learn is part of the magic.
