Good day all,
iCraft suddenly stopped cutting through the glossy plastic backed vinyl. I did not make any changes to the setting or design which stayed the same. Force 6.7, Speed 1, 4 times. I changed the blade but the same outcome. I upped the force to 7.4 too. Anyone else have this issue? I also did all the firmware updates and now the bluetooth won’t start up on the machine.
Thank you in advance.
Nancy
hey Nancy, can you confirm that you have the glossy plastic facing down on the sticky mat please, if that’s a yes, can you then check the vinyl side and let me know if you can peel the vinyl away and be left with your design. I ask you to do this because it can look like there is no cut there while your looking at it on the machine, but it has cut. the 6.7 to 7.4 with 4 passes should make a clean cut without any problems. what vinyl are you using HTV? I cut some HTV the other day on F 6 with S 4 with 1 pass, it looked like nothing much happened but it weeded beautifully.
Hi, I have the vinyl facing up with the peel away plastic on the back. I’m using Cricut brand. There is a cut but it did not cut though at all. I tried to lift it but nothing remained and no cut marks on the back of the vinyl sheet. It’s like the blade isn’t making it’s way all the way down. I took the blade housing out & made sure everyting was good, put it back and had the same issue.
thanks for confirming Nancy @Nancy_Sierchio can you do a seperate test, using the same design cut, using a light cardstock about 120gsm or similar, using “standard cut” and you will be aiming to cut all the way through (not doing a kiss cut) this will be the elimination process, if the blade is cutting nicely the blade and the housing would seem to be ok. you could also try another test using a diferent brand, like HTV vinyl, either heat set or permanent which ever vinyl your trying to cut, at least this way you’ll be able to see if it’s isolated to the vinyl that’s not cutting.
Did you try @InkiteeWorkshop trouble shooting test cut? How did you go with it?
Does the machine make any noises that you haven’t heard before?
When you go to cut does it actually look like the machine is cutting?
Is your blade broken?
Unfortunetly its still just kissing. I can feel its cut/kissed but through. I adjusted the force to 7 but that cut too deep. Now trying to come down until it is cuts correctly but now bluetooth wont connect to the machine.
oh dear you are having a time with it, can you put the machine by your pc and use the cable to connect?
Have you contacted customer support? I think another person had something similar and customer support walked them through resetting their device.
