Most of the time you want to use the 45 degree blade. What are you trying to cut?

Hi! Great question, knowing which blade to use can make a big difference in your cuts.
use the Fine Point Blade. It’s perfect for clean, detailed cuts and is the standard go-to. for most everyday materials like,

  • HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl)
  • Adhesive Vinyl
  • Cardstock

The Deep Point Blade is more suited for thicker or tougher materials,

  • Magnet sheets
  • Leather
  • Chipboard
  • Thick felt

Unless your material specifically calls for a Deep Point Blade, stick with Fine Point. If you’re unsure, just let us know what material you’re cutting and one of us here will chime in so we can help you choose!

Right now the only things I know how to cut are stickers and I’ve done a little cutting vinyl. I’m still just trying to get the hang of making stuff with my loklik idea studio and I’m still learning and practicing how to master all the features to make things I want to make before even attempting to try and design and cut out designs for tee shirts. I have people ready to give me business, but I’m not ready yet. But I don’t want to be a bother to anyone else in this community thanks for you all trying to help me, but I’m feeling a little disappointed, discouraged, and a boy overwhelmed with just trying to learn how to make stickers.

Keep going, Edna! Learning this is just like learning to drive a car, it’s tricky at first, but over time it becomes second nature.
One day you’ll just get in and go without even thinking about it.
Ask as many questions as you need, that’s exactly what this community is for, and we love helping. The frustration you’re feeling now will pass. Just keep practicing, you will get there!
