Hey Can someone please help me I am having issue setting up my iengraver…yesterday it said driver installed and I am still having issues.
Hi @Katrina_Moore that popup means the driver didn’t actually install. you may have to remove the half installed driver, and start over but I think @rinsky is the best help for you, hang tight! ![]()
Hi @Katrina_Moore! I’m so sorry you run into this issue. I just want to check in with you if you are using Mac or windows. Please follow the instructions below:
If you are using LaserGRBL
If you are connecting the iEngrave to your computer via a USB cable, you may need to manually install a driver.
The instruction manual for the iEngrave specifically states that if you cannot find the correct port when trying to connect in LaserGRBL, you should go to “Menu” > “Tools” > “Install Driver” to install it.
If you are using the LOKLiK App or LightBurn
Other software options, including the official LOKLiK app and LightBurn, have different setup processes.
-
LOKLiK App (mobile): For this app, you connect your engraver to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, not your computer. Please check out this link: LOKLiK iEngrave Cover Machine | Easiest Way to Connect From Your Mobile Phone | Wi-Fi/Bluetooth
-
LOKLiK App (desktop): For this app, you connect your engraver to a computer using the cable and make sure you inserted the SD card that came with the machine.
-
LightBurn: When using LightBurn, you will need to load a device profile from the SD card that came with your engraver.
General hardware considerations
For any setup, make sure you properly connect the physical cables.
Connect the power adapter and the USB cable from the iEngrave to your computer. Power ON the machine by pressing the power switch. Make sure the emergency stop button and safety keys are engaged as well.
Additional detailed information I included will be found in this link:

Hope it helps! Please keep us updated! ![]()
I’m so excited it’s up and running however it was off to the side…can’t wait to learn how to Iengrave everything
That’s awesome it’s working! If it was off to the side, it might just need a quick alignment check (always frame your work area before you proceed with any job) —totally normal for first runs. You’re gonna master iEngraving in no time!
Thanks so much I am so excited for this new journey…
I appreciate you
my pleasure thanks so much @Katrina_Moore so happy that you have got it going ![]()
Does this mean that both a power source and a usb should be connected to your computer in some way?
Power adapter "ON” means the laser itself is fully powered up — safety locks engaged, emergency stop released, SD card inserted, and the original iEngrave USB cable connected to your computer. Hope it clarifies it. ![]()
