I'm a newbie trying to use the crafter for school projects

I can’t seem to find out where any help is at. I want to cut letter for bulletin board, but it is only wanting to print one word at a time. Should I be able to cut more How do I group them to cut on the layer does it work like the Cricut in that way? don’t have a circuit either but my friend does. all the letters are requested it tells us the number of mats each cover will need. any help is appreciated

thank you for this. i’m still trying lol my friend has a cricut. when she cuts letters the design studio groups the letters together for maximum paper usage. I’m new teacher on top of a new crafter. I was gifted this machine so I’m trying my best to get it to function the way I need to. I will try what you showed me. I greatly appreciate it. thanks for you understanding. I swear i just want to cut letters for my bulletin boards…for now lol

thanks for those encouraging words. I’m so frustrated because I know what I want it to do just can’t get it right. Does the design studio work to save paper? Also, when I want to use different colors for text how do I do that? When I watched my colleague who has a cricut. she just put the words in, it grouped them and cut them out not necessarily in order, but it showed what color to put on the mat. Mine is just showing single words and it’s too small IDK I’m a mess right now lol

My text is showing off the canvas UGGGHHHHH. How do I make it fit to the size that I need to maximize paper usage. I can’t thank you enough because I was ready to put it back in the box and go in a corner and cry lol

I have prepared a short video for you @Tee_Cee hopefully this is what you need, I use the iCraft not the crafter, but the LLiS should work the same with your Crafter. take your time you will get a great bulletin board in the end.

thanks again for your help. I’m trying to make some 6" letters for a bulletin board If I type this and they are off the canvas; how do I keep them the same size? When I move them the size of the letters change. thanks again

How do you get the width to automatically adjust

my pleasure  let me know if this is what you are wanting to do? if I make the letters 6" high the width is determined by the height.
if you want the full word to be cut you need to turn it around and use a 12 x 24" mat or smart vinyl (no mat needed) that is on a roll. I hope I have understood what you need to achieve.

example: text off the mat, horizontal

example: text off the mat, vertical

BEST: the cleanest way to cut a longer design is to use smart vinyl, 13" by whatever the roll length is you buy. I hate sending you off brand but, Cricut has one if you can’t fint HTV.

DESIGN >smart vinyl > change the length > add more text to the right hand side to use all the vinyl to reduce waste, if your original design only needs to use the left hand side, create/design something else to cut on the right hand side for another project to reduce that waste.

OR stay on the 12x12" canvas, you can split you text design and put some on the left, and some on the right, untill it fits. this way you need to cut around the text to seperate the letters and place them in the correct order on your banner, fidly but will work.
