Story:I already decorated the entrance, let’s go for the interior of my home. First things first, adding some deco to my newly renovated craft room hanging from the ceiling’s hook, this beautiful Christmas Felt Garland with Chinesse vibes.
Here’s my merry-makes week 3 entry no. 1
Theme: Santa Clause Cutaway Card
I finally splurged and got some premium cardstock to try to have a bit of success, following the disastrous attempts in the run-up to Halloween.
Armed with a very sharp deep cut blade and my premium material haul, I would not be beaten by cheap cardstock again.
I’ve been wanting to try the drawing function of my Crafter ever since I bought it, but never got round to it. So, after leaving HobbyCraft with a nice little haul of various cardstock, etc, I decided now is the time to take the plunge.
I was so excited when it started zipping along fairly well. There’s definitely room for improvement but I was pleased with it for a first attempt. Colours would most definitely look better on white cardstock and I need to play around with pattern fill density. On this tiny gift tag, at less than 40mm wide, the Crafter took over an hour to draw the red and black.
Story: I’m thankful for the creative spark that keeps me pressing, layering, and dreaming up new designs, but even more for the community that cheers me on and shares in the process. Every event & every make feels brighter because I get to celebrate it with people who value encouragement and transparency as much as I do. I’m grateful for the chance to teach, to inspire, and to laugh at the little hiccups along the way—because those moments remind me that growth is just as beautiful as the finished product. And at the heart of it all, I’m thankful for the vision of a space where creativity and connection can flourish side by side.

Theme: Christmas Coasters for family gatherings

Story: I made these coasters with the idea that when I have guests over for the holidays they’d find it really convenient to have a place to put their yummy Christmas drinks as we gather to celebrate these wonderful holidays

Story: I’m thankful for my mother-in-law, though I never had the chance to meet her. She passed away 25 years ago, four years before I met my husband, yet her presence found its way into my life through the fabric she left behind. She was a seamstress, and I ended up with some of her Christmas fabric—bright, festive pieces that carried her touch. As I sewed stockings from that fabric, I felt a quiet connection to her, as if my stitches were joining her story with mine. I’m grateful for the chance to honor her craft, to carry forward her love for making, and to wrap our family traditions in something she once held in her hands.

Theme: Gnome Gift Tag

Story: I have an oversized gift for a christmas present and I didn’t want just your typical smaller gift tag, so I made a bigger one to make it easier to identify.
