I did DTF on on a clear acrylic blank. The glue shows badly. I’m not sure if I change the pressure or temperature if that will do any good. If anyone has ideas please let me know.

That’s really cool. You can try these tips. They may help prevent or reduce the glue halo.
How to prevent or hide the glue outline
Here are the things that actually work (and the ones that don’t).
- Cold peel technique — Press at a lower temp (250–265°F), short time (5–8 seconds), let it cool completely, then peel. Less heat = less glue melt = smaller halo.
- Use a matte or frosted acrylic — Glossy acrylic shows everything. Matte hides the glue edge almost completely.
- Trim closer to the design — The more excess film around the print, the more glue melts outside the artwork.
- Use a silicone sheet instead of Teflon — Teflon overheats and causes more glue spread. Silicone gives a softer, more controlled melt.
- Lower pressure — High pressure forces the adhesive outward.
- Light post‑press buff — After it cools, a microfiber cloth can knock down the shine of the glue edge.
What doesn’t work
Just so you don’t waste time:
- Wiping with alcohol (makes it worse)
- Pressing longer (melts more glue)
- Pressing hotter (creates a bigger halo)
- Trying to “burnish it away” (can scratch the acrylic)

I did some reading of those “don’ts” already. lol
Thanks for all the tips. I will be trying these soon!
