I love this type of weeding tool! The only time I use the larger one is if I’m removing a huge amount of vinyl, but switch back to the pin pen for the detail work.
I agree with what you said. I can’t use a straight weeder. I’ve always preferred the hooks. I received the one in your photo in the 8 pack HTV I won a couple months ago, and it’s my favorite weeding tool ever! I can’t imagine my life without it now.
Mine’s been sharp since day one, though.
You must have gotten a good one. Mine struggled to even pierce the vinyl before I sanded it a little. Since doing that though, I haven’t used anything else.
Yes, it’s very sharp and pierces the vinyl with ease. Works well at picking between the cuts, for when I want to salvage the parts I’m weeding, too. I’m happy that I’ll be receiving another one with my iCraft that should be arriving Saturday. ![]()

Mine also wasnt that good. The tip has a tiny bend so I had to use it at an angle to get the pointy tip to poke properly ![]()
I love salvaging weeded out parts
especially htv. I still have pouches of those somewhere ![]()
I must’ve gotten lucky with that weeding tool, then, because mine is super sharp.
And, yes, I have a binder full of salvaged letters and other shapes! I will use them, one day. ![]()

I see what you mean. The one that came with my iCraft machine, today, has a bend in it. It says Loklik on it. However, the one I got with the HTV doesn’t have any words on it, and the one that came with the weeding tools set, today, has HTVRONT on it. So, maybe, it’s just the Loklik branded ones that are dull and bent? ![]()
Awww… i thought they would have the same quality since they’re like sister companies ![]()
Yeah, you’d think they’d be the same, but both the unbranded one and the HTVRONT one have a straight, sharp point. I’m pretty sure the unbranded one is HTVRONT, though, as it came with the HTVRONT HTV. They all look identical, other than the bend in the Loklik branded one. ![]()
My LOKLiK weeder was just blunt, not bent. It’s stayed sharp since I sanded it though.
I think they’re probably all made in the same factory on the same production line. I think the problem lies with quality control, on rather a lack of quality control. ![]()
Yeah, I mean, there’s definitely a lack of QC, considering my Crafter’s issues.
However, I was judging it based on how the covers/protectors are for the other 2 compared to the protectors for the Loklik branded one. The 2 HTVRont ones are straight and came off easily. The LOKLiK one, the protector is also slightly curved at the tip and took quite a bit of effort to pull off of the the tool. Also, the Loklik one seems to be duller than the other 2. I didn’t know if y’all’s are Loklik brand or HTVRont brand, so I was just wondering if it was, in fact, the Loklik ones that have the issues. I assumed you got them with your iCraft machines and had the Loklik branded ones, as that is the brand that came inside the box with my iCraft. The other 2 were separate and came with HTVRont products. It’s just a theory I had when I saw my bent, dull Loklik weeding tool. ![]()
I definitely prefer the HTVRONT ones. They’re both straight and sharp. Although, my iCraft did arrive in a pretty messed up box and was sitting crooked in there with the door smashed in further than it should, so there is a chance the tool could’ve gotten bent during shipping. ![]()
not about weeding tool @Samantha_Bryant but the damaged packaging seems to be happening a lot, I have reported it to HTVRONT, but it’s still happening. The Carriers don’t seem to care about handling ![]()
Yeah, I’ve always had problems with FedEx. So I’m always worried when I see a package is being sent by them. Christmas 2024, I had 2 large packages they delivered that arrived looking like someone tried to tear into the boxes to see what they were. This happened after I had seen a news report about FedEx employees stealing people’s packages. They would tear the boxes to make it look like they were damaged in transit, so they could see if they wanted to steal it or not. When mine arrived with identical tears, I immediately assumed they tried that with mine. It was as if someone jabbed their hand into the box and ripped it a little. My packages also arrived on separate days. What are the odds they’d have the same style holes if they’d been damaged by accident?
I contacted them and let them know they needed to fire everyone since this seems to be the norm with them. Obviously, there are no consequences for package thieves, since people seem so eager to commit this act within this company. Luckily, my machine seems to be working fine, so I’m happy about that. ![]()
There’s a huge problem with theft from packages in UK at the moment. One guy said on Reddit that he tracked a missing phone from a delivery he sent to the courier driver’s house!
Wow! Yeah, I don’t trust the couriers here, either. The only ones I don’t have issues with are Amazon. The USPS is pretty good, as far as not stealing packages. I have had problems with them delivering late, though, and wondered if they had tried to steal my package.
Usually, it’s that they delivered it to the wrong address. I either have a neighbor bring me the package or the carrier picks it up from them and delivers it to me. I’ve been lucky that the neighbors brought my packages to me. One girl actually opened it and said she thought it was hers. I just think she couldn’t use my phone case for her phone, though. ![]()
