I press both sides at the same time to save time. As long as the blank heats up, itâll transfer the ink all at once. Just a thought that might help you out.
Day 8: Iâll give today a good. No surprises at work, which is always a good thing, and nothing that I have to get done tonight so Iâm in coasting mode for a few hours. Feels good!
Day 9 Mood - Love seeing all your projects and happenings. Itâs so great to have a catch up space. I always sit with my morning cuppa reading through this post

Oh my Iâm so glad your house is fine. Hopefully the fire did minimal damage
Oh wow, I loved seeing all my kids perform. Later years of high school they gave it away as there school work load is huge. Maybe they will get back into after school finishes.
Thatâs so special that you got to see them perform! High school definitely piles on the workload, so it makes sense they had to step back. I bet once things settle after graduation, theyâll find their way back to itâitâs hard to let go of something you love for long.
Day #8:
Todayâs mood is super excited, the kind of excitement that instantly sparks ideas and momentum. The beta version of the 3D printed snap frame Kickstarter I backed went live this morning, and I was able to print my very first frame. Holding that finished piece feels like a turning point.
This opens so many doors for my shadow boxes. I can create my own sizes, design custom patterns, and fully control how each piece comes together. With the commercial license in place, it also unlocks the ability to sell these frames, turning possibility into opportunity. Today feels like one of those moments where innovation and creativity collide in the best possible way.
Looks awesome. Did you use the wood filament?
I did for this one @BellethehowtoGuru. I am happy with how it turned out and it pieced together so easily. My biggest concern will be where I can source cheap glass for the frames.
I went to my local hardware store. They actually put me in contact with the place they get there glass from. I just order what I need, they cut it and package it and I go pick it up. Maybe you can find somewhere similar to you. I get glass for craft projects and also my reptile enclosures I make. You could try acrylic sheets too. Although glass worked out cheaper and looks better most of the time
Thatâs a great idea @BellethehowtoGuru. I will certainly give that a try when I start sourcing for my shadow boxes. Thanks!
Thank you. The fire was contained to the neighbors garage, but there was concern about stuff inside exploring. Thankfully that didnât happen!
Thank you! Everyone is safe!
Thank you! Thankfully it was just the garage and everyone is ok!
Thatâs awesome! ![]()
I canât wait to see how you use them in your shadow boxes. I bet they will be extra stunning with one of these frames. Congrats
and wishing you lots of luck on this new opportunity! ![]()
Thatâs good to know.
Iâm glad everyone is safe and it didnât spread far. Fires are scary, for sure.
