Project | Ballerina Snow Globe Shaker Display

Difficulty: Intermediate

This sparkling shaker display brings a dancer to life inside a sequined and glitter‑filled “snow globe” frame. The layered design combines bold color, movement, and shine, creating a miniature celebration scene that stands beautifully on its own. The piece features a rose‑gold dancer silhouette, holographic fireworks, and a mix of glitter and sequins that shake and shimmer with every touch. An easel‑style cardstock stand on the back allows the display to sit upright, just like a picture frame.

I created this shaker display by layering glitter cardstock and 176 GSM cardstock to form the globe frame. The inside features a holographic fireworks scene made with permanent adhesive vinyl, along with a rose‑gold dancer silhouette that adds elegance and movement. I built the shaker compartment using double‑sided foam tape and filled it with holographic gold glitter and sequins for extra sparkle. The back includes a hand‑crafted easel stand so the display can sit upright like a picture frame. This project is perfect for showcasing motion, shine, and dimension in a small, eye‑catching format.

Materials Used:

  • HTVRONT Glitter Cardstock (purple frame, backing, and kickstand back)
  • 176 GSM cardstock (background layer)
  • HTVRONT Permanent Adhesive Vinyl – Rose Gold (dancer + globe accents)
  • Holographic Rainbow Permanent Adhesive Vinyl (fireworks inside the globe)
  • Acetate (Window)
  • Double-sided tape (attaching acetate)
  • Double‑sided foam tape (shaker walls)
  • Holographic gold glitter
  • Decorative sequins
  • Glue stick or double‑sided tape (for assembling the kickstand back)
  • Scoring stylus (Kickstand)
