I could not resist making some felt coasters to decorate the table for Christmas lunches and dinners. I wanted each family member to have their own, even if they are not with us this year. The felt had to be red, and personalizing them with white HTV would have been the obvious choice, but it felt a bit too predictable. I wanted to give them a slightly cyber punk touch, so the pink HTV from Loklik felt like the perfect choice.
For the monograms, I used the Christmas Lights Monogram font, available as a free download on Creative Fabrica, with a few small adjustments so it would work nicely at this size. Nothing too complex, just enough to make each initial readable and balanced on the felt.
This is a very simple project, but one that adds something special to the table and to those long after dinner moments that are so important during the holidays. I love how these small handmade details can quietly bring everyone together, even those who are far away, and turn an everyday object into something warm and meaningful.
They are from the Project Sharing Beta period. We weren’t quite sure about how it all worked so I don’t know if they are actually shared or not, they may be not. So if you want to try them and you cannot open them, just tell me. I can upload them to the official library as it was my original intention.
