Here’s my home-decor Week [1] entry!
Theme: [Door Welcome Sign (sublimated)]
My sister gets her keys this Wednesday, and my heart is overflowing. After six months in rehab, she is clean, sober, and stepping into a brand‑new chapter at 72. We are so thankful. So proud. So blessed.
When our decor challenge popped up, I knew instantly—I had to make something special for her new beginning. Something that carried love, scripture, and intention.
This welcome sign is the first piece I created for her.
I designed it completely from scratch in Ideastudio—using their “Welcome” and customizing everything else: the florals, the layout, the scripture, the energy. It’s an original. Nobody else will have this.
For the process:
- I printed the design on HTVRont sublimation paper using my Brother sublimation printer
- I laminated it using Pen + Gear laminating pouches
- I pressed it with my auto heat press at 390° for 60 seconds
- The colors came out vibrant—they popped beautifully
- The wood blank came straight from Amazon
And then it all came together… a sign rooted in Luke 15:24, a scripture of restoration and rejoicing.
This isn’t just decor.
It’s a celebration of her comeback.
A prayer over her new home.
A sister’s love made visible.
