Project | Gardeners Bench Shadowbox

What’s better on a spring day than nice warm breezes? Gardening …. yep …. gardening. So pull out the rake, clear your spot, brab the shovel and dig a hole, put your flowers in with the trowel , and some good chemicals and fill your hole back up.

Materials Used
Shadowbox … purchased or made
Cardstock (assorted colors)
Cutting Machine
Scissors
Foam spacing pieces
Cardboard for backing piece if not provided with shadowbox
Glue

Steps

  1. Measure the shadowbox opening and adjust the contents to the measurement minus 1/8”

  2. Cut everything in multiples of 2 except for the bench … cut 5 and the fence cut 1 front and 1 back piece, cut 1 blue background piece

  3. Glue your background color to the shadowbox backing (mine is blue)

  4. Assemble your fence with the front and back layers with foam spacers in between

  5. Glue your fence to the back wall

  6. Assemble the bench first as follows: 2 complete pieces, 2 bench on down, 1 piece just above the legs trimming with scissors where needed.

  7. Add the watering can, boots, and flowers to the bench

  8. Add your bench in front of the fence with foam spacers according to the picture

  9. Assemble the rake and shovel and place in the scene

  10. Assemble the trowel, hand rake and pot and place in the scene to finish

You’re welcome. It certainly looks like you had a lot of fun making it — minus losing parts of it during the design process, of course.

Just a tip for the first image, it may help — presentation-wise — to reshoot the photo to show the full frame, if possible. If you choose to do so, you can just edit your project file in the software, along with this post to add the new image, and if you’ve added it to the Easter Craft challenge, that post as well. No need to create any new files or posts. If you need any help, I’m here to guide you.:+1:

Edit: Ok, I see your images in the challenge they look great. It may be a good idea to add one of those as the cover photo in your saved project file in the software.:+1:

You’re so very welcome. It definitely helps to have a nice image as the cover in the IdeaStudio app. It could be the deciding factor for who wins in the challenges.

I can’t seem to do that lately. Lol

Lol just keep at it, don’t get discouraged. You’ll get another win. This one is definitely a great contender.
