So I did it correctly? I didn’t think it went through! LOL

Well, you uploaded it to the community, but I’m not seeing it in the Projects section of the app. Did you just create a new topic in the community and share it that way? Or did you save your design in the app, then publish it publicly to the community? It’s showing the elements you used, as if it was saved and shared from the IdeaStudio app.

LOL I don’t even know what I did at this point. I don’t think I published it but I’m so confused even with instructions. I’m sorry Samantha. I don’t know why it’s so hard for me. I’ll wait for the next competition. I am having a hard time getting around on this site too. Hard to find specific groups once I exit. Then to find all the instructions you gave me and the other gentleman who tried to help me, takes time for me to find again. I have never had such a hard time on a site before. Today I have another issue. I sound like such a complainer…I wanted to make a keychain so I found the graphic here but when I printed it the flower petals didn’t cut. In fact what did cut doesn’t even look like the graphic. I’ll take a pic and try to show you.
Great, now I can’t figure out how to upload a photo of the issue and the graphic. Maybe I should just walk away for the day.

It’s ok, no worries. Here is the upload button. Also, does your screen look like mine in the screenshot? Are you using your computer or phone? If you’re using your phone, are you in the community via the Loklik app or via your browser?

Here is a link to the How to Enter Community Events post I created, as well.

And here is how to share/publish your projects to the community. Scroll all the way down, and you’ll see orange links for how to share/publish on both the mobile app and PC Software.

Thank you for this. I can’t seem to figure out if the current contest is over or what the theme is, or where to find it. I’m lost.

I searched this graphic under standard cut but I just saw it is a jpg?

Ok, so, because you have multiple colors in this image which is black outlines, white petals, and yellow centers, you’re going to have multiple layers. Right now, you just have the black offset layer. This design is meant to be a layered design that uses 3 different colors of vinyl. I’ve recorded a video for you to explain it. Just give me a bit to get it small enough to share. I will also make an in depth video for you where I create this design in full, so you can see how it’s supposed to be assembled.

As for the events, they are three weeks long. Week one wrapped up last night at midnight Eastern time. We just started week 2. You don’t have to enter all three weeks to win a weekly prize, but you have to enter at least 2 out of 3 weeks to be eligible for the Ultimate Grand Prize after the 3 weeks is up and we reach the 50 valid entries for all three weeks threshold. You may enter up to 3 projects per week.

Can you share the link to the contest page link?

I’ve made a few projects but haven’t tried yet to enter them. I’m sure your video will help. I’m a visual, hands on learner. Reading is a challenge. I have something called verbal dyslexia which is why anything with more than 2 steps is impossible for my brain to comprehend but videos & hands on I ace. I actually learned all the different types of art I do through Youtube.

You can always find the latest event on the home screen in the featured posts banner at the top, if you ever have trouble finding it.

I totally understand. I learn better visually as well. I also have a bit of dislexia, so I know how it is. I’m happy to make a video for you. I just ask that you be patient with me while I get it put together. I also have to go make dinner in just a bit. Once I’m finished with that, I’ll sit down and create a how-to for this specific design.

On your time Samantha. Really grateful for all your help & patience. They originally called it ADHD but they realized it was very different. I was in my 40s when they finally diagnosed me. I really don’t like any labels being a parent of an Autist but I guess we need them for diagnoses. It would be nice to concentrate more on a cure since we weren’t born with this.

That is a community post about contributing to the project library and being entered in to win part of a cash pot. It’s not a post where you actually share anything to it. Just any project that you upload and post publicly from the software or app will be a contribution, and will automatically get you entered into that specific event. We’ve already hit 2 goals, now, we’re working on the third. I think it’s something like 1100 projects shared to the library.

After taking a closer look at the design you’ve chosen, it’s very complex and has like a thousand layers to it. It may only look like 3, but if you click the layers panel and click the > in front of Group, you will see each petal and each little line is a different layer. It also has just little tiny dots as a single layer. So, when I’m finished with dinner, I’ll make the video. The one I was working on is all over the place, and I would never be able to make it just a short video to share here.

And, yes, I’ve never been officially diagnosed with anything, but I know that I have dislexia and ADHD, and probably on the autism spectrum, as well. My mom never cared too much about getting me to any kind of doctor, so I’ve just gone undiagnosed my whole life.

One more question. Where is the upload option on the cell phone app?

For uploading images for your canvas or for projects?

This screenshot is for uploading an image to put it on your canvas:

I took a pic of one of my projects that I want to upload from my phone instead of emailing it to myself then uploading the pics from my email to myself. I’m trying to get it into my zone. Mine instructions doesn’t look like yours. Are you using an iphone? I’m on an android. I can only upload to Make page.

You took a pic of a design that you made on the IdeaStudio? If so, you can just save it in the studio. Then, it will be available on all devices that you have the app installed. Or are you talking about an actual project that you made physically?
