Project | Hoppy Easter Bunny Garden

Difficulty: Intermediate

This bright and joyful Easter scene features a lively group of layered paper bunnies gathered around a white picket fence filled with colorful eggs, spring flowers, and playful details. The centerpiece is a hand‑painted basswood sign reading “HOPPY Easter,” created using HTVRont stencil vinyl and acrylic paint for a crisp, cheerful finish. Each bunny is dressed with bows, gems, and tiny embellishments that give the whole display personality and charm, while Easter grass and dimensional kickstand easels bring the scene to life. Built with clean layers, bold colors, and thoughtful handmade touches, this piece makes a festive holiday decoration.

Materials Used:

  • Cardstock: White for bunnies and fence; assorted colors for bunny accents, bows, flowers, butterfly, and egg designs
  • Basswood sign: Painted with white gesso as the base
  • HTVRont Stencil Vinyl: Cut on the iCraft to create the “HOPPY Easter” stencil
  • Acrylic paint + sponge dauber: Dabbed over the stencil to paint the sign lettering
  • Chopstick: Used to display the sign
  • Wood glue: Used to attach a trimmed chopstick to the back of the sign for secure placement
  • Glue stick: For assembling eggs, accent layers, and larger cardstock pieces
  • School glue pen: For adhering small details like dots and tiny accents on the eggs
  • Sequins and embellishments: Flower sequin for the mama bunny’s bow; nail‑art butterfly jewel and oval gem for the baby bunnies’ bows
  • Scoring stylus: Used to create small kickstand easels behind the bunnies
  • Easter grass: Added inside the picket fence for texture and fullness
