Project | Spring Time Vibes Cake Topper

Welcome spring in full bloom with this vibrant “Hello Spring” cake topper! Crafted using a LOKLiK iCrafter cutting machine and designed in Ideal Studio, this layered beauty pops with bold pinks, fresh greens, and sunny yellows that feel like sunshine you can hold.

Each piece is cut from sturdy 65 lb cardstock, giving it just the right balance of flexibility and durability. The layers are carefully assembled using hot glue to create a dimensional, eye-catching design that practically dances on top of your cake.

Paired perfectly with a gorgeous two-layer Publix cake, this topper transforms a simple dessert into a celebration centerpiece. Whether it’s for Easter, a spring birthday, or just because you’re feeling floral and fabulous, this piece brings the joy.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Design Your Graphic
    • Open Ideal Studio
    • Upload or create your “Hello Spring” design
    • Separate layers by color for easy cutting

  2. Prepare Your Materials
    • Select your 65 lb cardstock in your chosen colors
    • Place cardstock onto your cutting mat

  3. Cut with LOKLiK iCrafter
    • Load your mat into the LOKLiK iCrafter
    • Adjust settings for medium-weight cardstock
    • Let the machine work its magic

  4. Weed & Organize
    • Carefully remove excess paper from each layer
    • Keep pieces grouped by color to stay organized

  5. Assemble Layers
    • Use hot glue to attach each layer
    • Start from the back layer and build forward
    • Line everything up for that clean, crisp look

  6. Attach Support Sticks
    • Glue cake sticks or skewers to the back
    • Make sure they’re secure and evenly spaced

  7. Place on Cake
    • Gently insert topper into your Publix two-layer cake
    • Adjust placement so it sits centered and proud

Little Pro Tip

Use foam dots instead of glue between some layers if you want extra dimension… like your topper is popping out saying “HELLOOO SPRING!”

Thank you I’m still learning and figured out how to use the offset function to create this beautiful layering effect I’ve seen on other posts! I’m excited  bc I can use it on HTV too and it’s gonna be super cute and cool :sunglasses:!

Well, I’m happy it worked well for you. I haven’t been on it in a couple of days. Good to know it’s working ok. I might give it a go later.
