Project | Valentine’s Day love books

I am a book person i read alot so i wanted to mske s fun design for Valentine’s day with books.

Love is in the air and Cupid is making connections. Ok let’s be honest not everyone is looking for that they have their partners and are content with the love of them, pets or children. I wanted to make a fun valentines themed project with a love of books in mind. Reading is my self care next to crafting so why not combine the two.

I have been playing with different things in idea studi to see what I can make some times hands one is the best way to learn. With some trial and re tryin I have come up with a fun design I will share how I did each thing to make the design.

First I wanted a fun backing for the roses so I did an offset placed it over a heart filled heart design selected both then chose unite at overlap leaving me with a heart filled shape the same offset that I could make any color I wanted.

I wanted books for my design and being a valentines design a heart seemed fitting. The shape being in the front of image you want a part of again is how I have the best outcome.
I then took the parts I made and placed them on the phone template for the cases I have. I decided I wanted to put a bookshelf in the back that could wrap around the sides so I made it a little bigger than the rest. To make it I united the design and sliced it then out a full color square behind it to make the books one colors.
I decided to add an offset to the images it was a debate but I liked the idea of giving it a sticker collection vibe.

Here is the design I went with I had fun putting it together.
Then I printed it on the sublimation film and let it dry for a few minutes before pressing the design. I like to use my iPad for a lot of my crafting so I set it up to print in the Epson app and making sure it was on the right size paper and settings I wanted to use.

Then I set the H17 up for pressing. Turing it on and making sure to set temperature for the top and bottom plate I set it at 290F and 305 second and pre heat 20 seconds. When you tap the thermometer it shows a yellow for one plate then red for the other so make sure it shows temperature under each color.

While the press is warming up I make sure the case is ready with insert taped in so it’s ready to go onto the phone jig.

Now is the easy part close the H17 press the R and you will hear it engaged the vacuum seal part and just wait for the beep saying it’s complete.
Once it’s done open the H17 and look at the magic!

Being carful with gloves on remove the film and take the case off the jig then the inside part taped down and show off your new phone case!
