im curious if we have the air assist do we still need to vent out window with the vent ?
@amber_curtis, Yes, we still need proper ventilation. Even with air assist on our laser machine, cutting materials like wood or acrylic will still generate smoke.
Ok got it! This is helping me understand how it works so much better! I have the air assist kit but wasn’t going to install it if it was serving the same purpose as the vent system but now I understand what each are for.
Air assist provides cleaner cuts and minimizes edge charring on wood or acrylic projects, reducing the need for masking or with masking (I prefer for more professional outcomes).
