Maybe this was already common knowledge, but I only just realized itā¦ the adorable little blue octopus that pops up sometimes in Idea Studio messages is called Hoki!
I saw it in a video on Loklikās Facebook page and had a total āawww!ā moment.
I absolutely love this mascot. It looks so much like a small plush toy I had years ago that travelled with me everywhere and kept me company while living in a couple of different European countries. Seeing Hoki brought back such lovely memories!
I really think Loklik should make more use of this character. Itās such a charming little design. It fits the spirit of the community perfectly: friendly, curious, and creative. Iād love to see Hoki appear more throughout the platform, not just in Idea Studio, but also in tutorials, pop-ups, library assetsā¦ even forum graphics!
A while ago, there was a thread asking for feedback on improving the forum and illustration style, and I mentioned then how much Iād love to see more of Hoki. It could totally be our community MC! Not sure if itās already part of the official asset library, but itād be great if it were.
I did know that it was an adorable octopus, what I didnāt know is that it had a name and that it spoke, Iām crazy that someday they will launch it in a 3d figure, something that we can place on our desks and that will accompany us in our creative processes, itās a good mascot and I love its style and its design.
How cute I have a octopus from 3 years ago I think it was fan carnival he hangs out in my craft roomā¦ I donāt remember if he had a name but I wonder if itās supposed to be the same one since they always had one somewhere I believe each leg stood for somethingā¦
This is from the 2023 fan carnival the tomato opens up. They did not do a 2025 fan carnival but they did have extra giveaways during the time it usually is. They hang out in my craft room with the 2024 items I have as well I have animal craft buddies I have a owl name hoodini thatās one of my craft animals as well
Not sure if itās already part of the official asset library, but itād be great if it were.
maybe they chose an octopus with 8 arms since like crafters it wants to do many things at the same time
