A300 automatic hat heat press

So as you know I am an influencer with the company and I just received my HTVRONT hat press for reviewing.
The first impression was WOW the look is very fancy and cute the color is very pretty and I like that it stays stable on the work surfaces .

Now let’s come to the settings
I liked that it has automatic settings and can save the last setting you have used.
My first project was sublimating a hat with foam surface (idk if they come without a foam too)
The press heat up very fast and the print result is very beautiful BUT
the pressure is very high it ruined the foam of the hat and made it yellowish too, so I don’t recommend using this kinds of hats.
(I tried to see and search if the pressure is adjustable but didn’t find infos about it)

After that I came back the next day all excited to make another try and test and this time I pressed a cape I thought it will be easier but there is also a BUT :sweat_smile:
After I placed my design and secured it with heat resistance tape I checked everything it was OK and pressed the magic green R
The press is done and the first look was  amazing I did it BUT unfortunately the hat was folded in the middle and the htv was pressed so when I tried to unfold the part the htv ripped off and ruined the design

After that I tried to fix it and used my mini mighty press with some htv pieces to fill the empty space and it was better.
To be honest idk if the second time was my mistake or it is the shape of the cape that caused the problem.

my opinion
I think it is a cute machine but personally I prefer the easy hat press as I can control the pressing process.
I’m sure the machine needs some time to get to use to it and I’m sure different kinds of hats will work perfectly fine with it I just shared my experience so far and will share more in the future.
Here is the 1st video I made and I’ll post the others later.
P. S the machine can be purchased from the HTVRONT Europe store

Lovely hat designs even with the trouble you had. Be interesting to hear from fellow owners of the A300 to see their thoughts and tips on the troubles you faced.

Yeah I kinda hoped that too but unfortunately the post isn’t getting attraction,

Just a few tips that might help:

  1. Try using a hat form or support to stretch the cap properly so it fits closely against the pressing pad and keeps its natural curved shape.
  2. Then secure your design with heat-resistant tape before pressing.
  3. It’s best to avoid placing your design right along the center seam of the cap. The middle area, where the curve is highest, tends to stretch the most. If your design is text or a long shape, try shifting it slightly off-center or giving it a slight curve so it follows the shape of the hat.

Hope this helps with your next try :slightly_smiling_face:

UPDATE

the product Team feedback

:

The hat shown in the image uses a sublimation process, typically at around 200°C for 40 seconds.

The yellowing issue may be caused by the foam lining in the front panel of the hat, which is very sensitive to high temperature and high pressure. In addition, foam hats usually have a structured (3D) shape, so during heat pressing, the foam can be compressed and deformed, leading to permanent indentations. At the same time, high temperatures can cause the foam material to oxidize and turn yellow.

Prevention suggestions:

It is recommended to use 100% cotton baseball caps without foam lining to avoid indentation and yellowing from the source.

Lower the temperature / shorten the pressing time:

For sublimation: try reducing the temperature to 180–190°C and shortening the time to around 30 seconds.

For other HTV materials: follow the lowest recommended temperature and timeaccording to the instructions.

Thanks sweetheart Just posted an update from the tech team and I think a crafters note post should be on the way about the hat press :face_with_peeking_eye:
