Adhesive Vinyl need help 😅

Now I need help

For this daily-mission I need your help in installing adhesive vinyl during humid weather.
I tried putting some halloween decor on our glass sliding door. Before applying, I wiped it down with alcohol 1st to clean it then wiped it with tissue paper. I thought it was already dry but when I tried applying the vinyl, the thin cuts wouldn’t stick. And when I touch the glass, I still felt a bit of moisture.

After a while there was a thunderstorm.

Now I left the transfer tape on the vinyl :woman_facepalming:
Hoping it will adhere tomorrow.

The ghosts :ghost::ghost: though were able to stick. They were cut on the same vinyl sheet.

What tips do you have for me please?

Maybe a blow dryer…. On low or cool hair to dry the area and vinyl :woman_shrugging:

It shouldn’t be the humidity because there is
the wet method for applying adhesive vinyl without bubbles I guess you need to press down or swipe it with the squeegee and let it sit for a while then peel the transfer tape.
Also a blow dryer or a heat gun is a good idea.

Thank you for these tips. I haven’t tried the wet method yet. Will try them again tomorrow :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Yeah blow dryer. Also because the spider webbing is such fine lines it will take some time to remove the transfer tape from the design. I suggest peeling at an angle with your scrapper tool in one hand to help push any vinyl back on to the glass. Good luck and may patience be with you.

I think @Marino meant that you’re already trying the wet method unintentionally

Do you have a brayer?

Yes I do :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I have a big one and a tiny one that I bought by accident because I didn’t read the description and I wasn’t expecting it to be that tiny :sweat_smile:

Maybe I need to try the wetter method because the vinyl simply wasn’t adherin to the moist but not so wet glass
