I researched the best vinyl cutter for small business to find the perfect option for custom decals, signage, apparel printing and everyday production work. After reading expert reviews from trusted sources like TechRadar, Creative Bloq and industry forums, two models consistently stand out as top recommendations:
LOKLiK Cutting Machine 2 by HTVRONT White & Smart Permanent Vinyl 13" x 7ft & Transfer Tape Roll 50FT
HTVRONT Heat Press Mini Machine & LOKLiK Cutting Machine 2 by HTVRONT
However, I am having trouble deciding which one would better suit my needs. I care about cutting precision, ease of use, speed and versatility across different materials. The ability to scale for business use and handle bulk orders would be a big plus too.
Has anyone tried either of these? Which one would you recommend? Any advice or personal experiences would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, Charlotte. Both of these listings are of the same plotter. The Loklik Cutting Machine 2 by HTVRONT is also known as the iCraft. The only difference I see in these listings is one is presented with the mini heat press while the other one is presented with a roll of smart vinyl and transfer tape. The machine is the same machine.
I have both the Cutting Machine 1 and 2. Machine 1 is no longer sold, and I can confidently say that CM2 is a definite upgrade from CM1. It cuts with much greater precision than the first machine, it’s super quiet when cutting, and gets the job done quickly. I highly recommend it.
Now, let’s talk software. Many users are intimidated when they first arrive in the IdeaStudio software. There is a learning curve with it, but between myself and @BellethehowtoGuru, we have videos that help users navigate the software. We encourage users to stick it out and learn as much as they can before giving up.
I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.
So just to clarify — both of the options you listed are actually the same cutting machine. The only difference is what comes in the bundle. One includes permanent vinyl and transfer tape, and the other includes the mini heat press, so it really comes down to which extras you’d find more useful.
The LOKLiK Cutting Machine 2 (previously known as the LOKLiK iCraft) is the exact model you’re looking at. I’ve done an unboxing and review here if you want a closer look:
Just keep in mind that both the machine and its software are still fairly new. I always recommend downloading LOKLiK Idea Studio and having a little play first, just to make sure the workflow suits what you want to do. I also have a beginner’s guide here if you want to get a feel for it:
The Cutting Machine 2 is great for vinyl, HTV, cardstock and similar materials, but it’s always worth comparing across brands like Cricut, Silhouette, and Siser so you can make the most informed choice for your business needs. There are plenty of other YouTube reviews out there too, which I definitely recommend checking out.
Hope that helps you narrow things down a bit — happy to chat through anything if you need more guidance.
