Holiday Chaos, Captured in Paper - A Tribute

This layered Christmas shadow box is inspired by one of the most unforgettable moments in holiday movie history. The one where a certain red-suited hero finds himself tangled in lights, airborne gifts, and pure festive mayhem. With tumbling presents, swirling snow, and that classic “oops” energy, this piece brings nostalgic holiday chaos to life in the best way.

A quick laugh, a spark of memory, and a perfect nod to the scenes we wait for every year.

inspired by my two biggest fans! my two youngest boys!
this was alot of fun to create! love these dollar tree night lights!
I used my loklik crafter to create these little cuties with multiple layers of permanent vinyls. Those cuts were very very tiny so I picked up the full vinyls with transfer tape and the I weeded the pieces away from the transfer tape instead of the backing paper. That is the best trick to weed very intricate cuts .

Hello, @amber_curtis :wave:t3:, your pic didn’t finish processing before you clicked submit. You may want to edit your post. Also, to enter the Mystery Cube event, you have to publish your project in IdeaStudio, then copy the link from the topics > inspiration section, edit the post to add the tag htvrontmysterycube, then paste the link in a comment here, with a photo. Otherwise, you won’t get a rune.

You have me very curious, though, with the title of your photo. Can’t wait to see what your customized neon lights look like!

You’re very welcome. It can definitely get a little confusing. I also had to revise a couple of mine. I just wanted to make sure yours got counted. All you need to do is share the project to your IS files, then, go to the file, click the 3 dots, select publish, enter the information it asks for and add your photos. Once made public, come over here, find your post under the Inspiration topics, select edit, add the mystery cube tag, save your edit, then copy the share link at the bottom right of your post. Then, come back here and share a photo and your link. Then, wait for your rune to show up in the comments of your post.

oh yes i know how to publish them no problem. it was the bringing them over here to the community and tagging and sharing and attaching all the right things in the correct events is where i start getting turned around and confused a little.
JUDI had to help me get that figured out.

Yeah, it’s very confusing lol. Some events require you to post to the IS first, some don’t. Sometimes, I have to read the instructions over and over to make sure I’m posting it right. Then, when I think I’ve got it, I get told I don’t got it. :joy: I’m glad you got it sorted out. Look forward to seeing more of your creations.
