Hi @Darlene_Berner Enjoy here! ![]()
Beautiful @OliviaZzz Thanks! ![]()
I just got my a17 phone press and I’m have a problem getting the ink to stick to the phone
case. I’ve tried 6 time with no luck. temp 275 F for both top and bottom. time is set to 300 seconds. It sucks the film around the whole case but no ink is being transferred?
What am I doing wrong.
Hi there, if the ink isn’t transferring at all, a few things might be helpful to check first:
• Whether the ink you’re using is sublimation ink.
• Whether the phone case is a sublimation-coated case.
• Whether the sublimation film might be placed the wrong side up.
And if you’d like a quick reference, here’s the sublimation film tutorial video:
I’ve checked all that. I using the hippo sub. ink, the phone case I bought is a sub. case and I’m putting it in face down. What do you recommend for the setting, thanks.
Here’s a full tutorial video for sublimation phone cases that might be helpful to go through step by step:
If the ink still isn’t transferring after following the tutorial, it might help to record a short video of your process and share it with support@htvront.com so the team can take a closer look and help troubleshoot.
@OliviaZzz I have a few questions,
What will happen if I don’t attach the lens pad? Instead I just put a piece of paper!!
What happens if I don’t attach the corners to the fixture or the extra attachments?
When I want to use it with mdf or coasters should I just put the metal plateand place my blanks on it?
How does the preheat time works? I tried pressing the time button and then the start but it run the pressing time without the preheat one.
Thank you ![]()

You know another problem is the blanks and sublimation films they’re very hard to find.
Hi @davidwhorf! Could you please verify what do you mean by the “sublimation case and I’m putting it face down”? A picture of your process will also help us to assist you better.
Make sure to print on the matte side of the film. Are you letting the ink dry on the film before pressing? It’s recommended to place your film, ink side up on the lid for a couple minutes to let the ink dry before using the film.
It’s also recommended in that time to have the phone fixture in the heat press heating up prior to pressing so everything is hot and ready to go before pressing.
275 F for 300 seconds is recommended for phone cases. You could bump up the time or temp as each machine can be a little different.
If you can share some pictures or a video of your process it would greatly help us help you
