Hi Community!
Seeing more and more of you unboxing the H17 Phone Case Heat Press lately — so fun to watch! If you’re about to give it a try, here are a few little tips that might help your first presses come out even better.
Keep surfaces clean
- Always clean both the phone case and the sublimation film before pressing to avoid dust or debris affecting the final look.
Let printed film dry
- After printing, let your sublimation film sit for a few minutes before stacking. This gives the ink time to set and helps keep transfers crisp.
Store film properly
- Keep your sublimation film sealed to prevent moisture and dust.
- If you notice bumps or white spots, try baking the film at 60℃ for 100s before use.
Check your phone case
- Make sure the case is flat and smooth before pressing. Even small deformations can affect the result.
Dry film with the machine
- If you use the press for drying, wait until it’s fully preheated and stable. A drying time of 5 minutes or more works well.
Work quickly when placing
- Place the case into the mold within 10s and the film within 5s. Close the lid and start right away for a more consistent transfer.
Cover the silicone ring fully
- Make sure the sublimation film covers the entire silicone ring and leave a little extra margin. This helps prevent air leaks and keeps the transfer stable.
Adjust heat and time
- If the inner camera area doesn’t transfer or the film looks thin, try lowering the temperature by 5℃ and reducing time by 20s.
- If the design looks stretched, shorten the preheating time.
- If the transfer looks incomplete, increase the temperature by 5℃ or extend the time by 30s.
Pay attention around the camera
- If the camera edges don’t transfer well, check that air vents aren’t blocked by tape. Adjust the tape or align/add vents so air can escape smoothly.
Coaster tip
- If a coaster sticks to the mold, place a sheet of paper or nylon tape between them. Remove it right after pressing to prevent sticking.
