Crafter vs iCraft support

I’m starting to exceed the limits of unnecessary frustration caused by the discrimination in support for Crafter owners, a machine that stopped being sold when everything around it was in early access (very primitive software with no features and many bugs, no knowledge community to help with the learning curve, no resources from Loklik in that regard…). I believed in the plotter because I think it has all the potential; there’s nothing stopping it from doing what any other plotter can as long as the material fits in thickness. But that will only be possible if Loklik doesn’t abandon us, and right now, honestly, the experience is very disappointing, even though I still believe in the machine and the brand.

I’m putting this in the machine section, even though it touches on the software topic, because it’s not just about the software. I’ve also expressed that I don’t understand why the marking tool is not supported for Crafter when we already have a compartment for a marker, which is ultimately what it uses. We also can’t use this function in the software, something we often end up hacking because I don’t know what’s going on.

I’ve complained that the cutting parameter list for Crafter materials hasn’t been made as extensive as the iCraft’s, and I was told that it has more pressure and, therefore, can cut more materials. It’s absurd when, for example, the parameters for cutting Basic Paper (OMG!) aren’t even listed for Crafter. I don’t understand why there’s knowledge that Loklik doesn’t provide and we’re doing their job. Community wisdom is one thing, but it’s quite another to have to figure out things that the brand knows very well (and maybe they’ll answer if we ask, but there are too many questions to ask, and we end up doing it privately to support).

But it turns out that the tool the software now provides to manage both the materials suggested or provided by the brand and those we could save based on our preferences or experience—that is, a material library to at least organize all this trial and error—is only available for iCraft!!!

So I think Loklik needs to wake up right now.

I hope all these issues get fixed and that no stupid and/or overly greedy decisions are made.

Thanks for taking the time to share all this. Your feedback highlights some important points.

Just wanted to let you know that we’ve already noted the need to expand the cutting parameter list for Crafter materials, and the material management feature is also being considered for future updates on Crafter.

Appreciate you raising these—it really helps.
