Are there any groups for Crafter users? not Icraft but crafter. Its been a nightmare. One time its doing great then it wont work. been calibrating for the whole week. even used different types of Versions. Nothing work. I cant even look for a Crafter version community.
Hello @HACKPRINTSCRAFTS
I see no need to split the knowledge between both, each one speaks on the version that have, some people have both. There have been multiple threads and post on crafter alignment tips, you can search for them. I´m sorry, I still cannot use links so I cannot provide you with some links to examples, maybe an older member can do that for you.
If you explain your problem, we all can help you here too. But trust me, it works really well, maybe the learning curve is a bit tricky but you can end up solving the problems you are experiencing easily.
For the Loklik Crafter, it works well with the SCAL (sure cuts a lot) software. Though it’s a paid program, if you’re using windows pc/laptop, you can use the cracked version (at your own risk).
I was able to print and cut well with that program with the Crafter
Timmy crafter is running smoothly on print then cut alignment nowadays. I don´t need anything beyong Idea Studio. Maybe you don´t know as you´re a lucky iCrat owner now, but it does. Are you still revisiting your old poor crafter? haha
Yes I did, I was surprised that it was reading registration marks smoothly. However, my print and cut still didn’t do well even after calibration in some test cuts it would do well but the next one would be off cut again
Print and Cut wont cut the proper area.
its either its cutting too low or its cutting too high.
it wont cut on the exact area of the prints.
I tried calibrating many times. made sure the machine was. also checked with the mat itself. nothing
Same here. Been struggling for a week now. I tried all tips and suggestion. nothing works.hahaha stressed na ako mi.
Have you tried resetting the calibration and doing a fresh calibration after?
Yes did it too. Multiple times actually. Still won’t work. I made the machine rest for hours then tried again too. It’s still not cutting precisely. Difference is huge on the print cut.
And your firmware is up to date, I’m using version 12 and the results I got are way better than what I was getting previously
In my experience, when this happens and everything is well calibrated, the issue is usually with the mark reading. I have a type of sticker matte paper where the marks print lighter, and I realized it’s often that paper that causes the problem. I used it for testing designs and it led me to false conclusions about other materials, making me run endless tests under the wrong assumption that something was wrong with the design (I thought it was too close to the marks).
Now, when this happens, I just print the marks twice or go over them with a pen. That solves it perfectly. I reached this conclusion through methodical elimination, and since then the problem is gone.
I no longer have that issue—unless ambient light interferes with the reading. Sometimes it needs more darkness (so I push the Crafter lid down), or more light, in which case I add extra lighting to the room. This afternoon, I was cutting and noticed a strong offset. I paused the machine, closed the lid, started again, and it worked like a charm.
Will try with fixing my markers.
Im currently using glossy stickers and use matte transparent tape in order for the sensor to read the marks. It was working great last wk same method and materials but suddenly it wont so I assumed that the software or machine was the problem.
yes Im using v12. also tried v10 as a suggestion from other post. its not working
If using glossy I would try making the area darker for the machine to read. I use the tape method too with the darken area
