🎬 D2 First Look: From Unboxing to First Impressions

Hello Community!

After the launch yesterday, we’ve been seeing a lot of curiosity around the D2 DTF Printer :eyes:
what it actually looks like, how the setup goes, and how it performs from the start.

So what does it really look like out of the box?
Let’s take a closer look, from unboxing to those first prints.

:clapper: First impressions from creators

If you’ve followed @Crafting with Delonda, you probably know she’s been working with DTF for a while and shares a lot of real setup and production content.

In this video, she walks through her full setup process with the D2 and shares her first impressions after testing it.

From unboxing to first prints, it gives a clear look at what getting started actually feels like.

A few things she pointed out:
• Setup feels quick and straightforward
• No dongle needed, everything runs through IdeaStudio
• Built-in alerts for ink and maintenance
• Strong color right from the first prints

If you’re curious what comes with the D2 and how setup actually works, this official walkthrough covers it step by step.

It goes through everything from what’s included in the box, to a simple 3-step setup, and a quick look at the key parts of the machine like the touchscreen, ink system, and overall workflow.

Everything you need is included, so you can go from unboxing to your first print without extra prep.

:speech_balloon: What do you think?

Did anything stand out to you from the unboxing or first prints?

I just like watching it used I am excited for the Thursday live on fb crafting using the printer. It’s a bit high in cost for me not having a business/ selling things regularly. It looks super nice.

I loved seeing this closer look at the D2 — it really helps to bridge that gap between “new machine hype” and “okay, but what’s it actually like to set up?”

The walkthroughs make it feel a lot less intimidating than some of the bigger DTF setups out there. The no‑dongle connection through IdeaStudio is a huge win, and those built‑in alerts for ink and maintenance are such a thoughtful touch for anyone juggling orders or learning as they go.

The colour strength on those first prints really stood out to me too. Getting that kind of vibrancy straight out of the box is such a confidence boost when you’re starting with a new machine.

I’m curious to see more long‑run testing, but so far the unboxing and first‑print impressions make it look like a really approachable option for small businesses and serious hobbyists alike.

Can’t wait to see what everyone creates with it next!

That’s interesting—the team really outdid themselves with this amazing update. I know a lot of people here will make the most of it to create incredible things with the printer. It looks great, and the video is a huge help for those who are unsure. I know it comes with HTVront’s signature quality, and that’s the best part—I loved it!
