Daily Mission Challenge: Rising Above the Noise & Crafting With Courage

This morning started off very differently than many of us would have hoped. Waking up to harassment in the HTVRONT Heat Press Community on Facebook is never easy, especially when it comes from someone who chose to attack you and several other creators for simply participating in the December Giveaway as intended. Many of us shared multiple projects because we were excited, proud, and fully engaging with the spirit of the event. Ironically, the person causing the most disruption had not shared a single project yet and felt entitled to tear down those who had. Their comments about hoping for disqualification, calling some members thieves, and accusing some of being rude were not just uncalled for but completely misaligned with what our community is built on—creativity, kindness, and mutual encouragement.

These types of moments can shake your confidence, especially when your intention was only to share the work you poured your heart into. It is frustrating when someone projects their own insecurities onto others, and it can be even harder when they attempt to publicly shame those who are genuinely contributing. But here’s the truth: your creativity, your participation, and your enthusiasm are not the problem. The problem lies in the insecurity, jealousy, and negativity that person chose to spread. And you, along with the other creators who were targeted, handled it with far more grace than they deserved.

Today’s Mission Challenge:

Rise above the negativity and reclaim your creative joy.

Use today to refocus your energy, remind yourself why you create, and strengthen your emotional toolkit for dealing with online harassment. Creativity should never be dimmed by someone else’s bitterness. Let this be a day of empowerment, reflection, and community resilience.

Tips, Tricks, and Best Practices for Handling Jealousy & Online Harassment

Protect Your Peace

  • Step away before responding. A calm creator makes smarter choices than an emotional one.
  • Remind yourself that the comment is about them, not you.

Do Not Engage With Hostility

  • Do not fuel the fire. Replying to negativity rarely changes the attacker—it only drains your energy.
  • If needed, leave a simple, neutral statement or choose silence.

Use the Tools Available

  • Report and block. These features exist for a reason.
  • Screenshot abusive messages in case the situation escalates or you need to show moderators.

Lean on Your Community

  • Reach out to supportive members and moderators.
  • Do not let one negative voice drown out the dozens cheering for you.

Practice Boundary Setting

  • You are not obligated to justify your participation, your projects, or your enthusiasm.
  • You get to choose which voices you allow to influence your creative journey.

Remember the Root Cause

  • Jealousy and insecurity often manifest as criticism and hostility.
  • When someone tries to dim your light, it is because they fear it shines brighter than their own.

Final Encouragement

Today, your mission is to create from a place of confidence and peace. Celebrate your accomplishments. Share your projects proudly. Lift others up, especially those who were also targeted. And above all, remember this:

A single negative person cannot overpower the spirit of an entire community when creators stand together.

You are talented. You are welcome. You belong here.
Now go make something beautiful.
