DIY Christmas T-shirt with HTV

DIY Christmas T-Shirt with HTV

Supplies
T-Shirt (I used a black long sleeve shirt)
Heat Transfer Vinyl (I used gold)
SVG file
Electronic Cutter
Weeding Tools
Heat Press or Iron

1 Decide on the design you would like to put on the shirt. I got mine for free online.

2 Measure the area of the shirt you will be placing the design and then adjust as needed. If you are concerned about the size/layout, print out the design on paper first to see how it works. (Paper is cheaper than HTV.)

3 Once you are satisfied with the design, cut it out using an electronic cutter. Make sure you mirror the image before cutting.

4 After cutting the design, weed it and then fold the left edge of the non sticky side over the right edge of the non sticky side. Then crease the carrier sheet at the top and bottom of the midline.

  1. Prepare your heat press or iron according to product instructions.

  2. Once the press is hot, fold the t-shirt down the middle and press it so there is a crease.

  3. Line up your design on your shirt using the creases on both the shirt and the carrier sheet as a guide to make sure your design is centered.

  4. Press your shirt following product recommendations.

  5. Peel carrier sheet according to product.

  6. Wear your festive shirt!

I had two and both died. I got one in the box but Is in storage way in the back. I don’t want to go fishing it out.

Understandable. I had one quit on me but luckily it was still under warranty, so they sent me a new one. I would be super upset if more than one quit working.
