DIY Project Sharing | "Answered Prayer" Baby Onesie

This design was born from a place of deep gratitude and joy. I wanted to create something simple yet powerful—something that speaks to the miracle of new life and the prayers that often precede it. “ANSWERED prayer” is a gentle declaration of hope fulfilled, perfect for faith-filled families and meaningful gifting.

Materials Used:

  • White baby onesie (Gerber brand)
  • Printable transfer paper
  • Epson EcoTank 2850 printer
  • HTVRONT H10 12x10 heat press
  • Scissors
  • Design software: Canva (for layout) + IbisPaint X (for mirroring)

Process & Tips:
I designed the text in Canva, mirrored it in IbisPaint X, and printed it using my EcoTank printer. After trimming the design, I placed it face down and pressed it with my HTVRONT H10 heat press.

Here’s what I learned: the transfer paper I used specifically advised against using an easy press. It recommended a swing arm heat press or a home iron instead. Because I didn’t catch that detail beforehand, the design didn’t fully adhere and showed some cracking. That wasn’t the H10’s fault—it was a user oversight. I’ve had great results with this paper using my professional swing arm press before, so I’ll be re-trying it that way for a cleaner finish.

Creative Insight: Always double-check your material instructions before pressing, especially with printable transfers. And even if the result isn’t perfect, the message still shines through.

Thank you so much! I’m happy you think so. I had so much fun designing it. With me not being able to have children, I know that there are many babies who are answered prayers, and I thought the saying would be good for a newborn onesie.
