I lovingly handcrafted this birth sign, designed to be a tender and colorful keepsake to decorate the baby’s space. I used a wooden base painted in a very soft light blue, with a matte finish that gives it a delicate and clean look. To hang it, I added a thick braided white cotton cord, which is both decorative and durable.
The sign’s main design features details that evoke a world of fantasy and tenderness: on the left, I placed two smiling clouds joined by a rainbow made of layers of vibrantly colored cardstock, achieving a dimensional effect. On the right, an umbrella in shades of lilac and pink from which small colorful hearts “rain,” made of cardstock and carefully arranged to give an effect of movement.
I cut the name “Keren” from pink cardstock, using elegant cursive font, making it stand out in the center of the base.
At the bottom, the sign has two pendants. One is a natural wood frame with the words “I was born,” “I weighed,” and “I measured” in 3D letters made of yellow, blue, and pink cardstock, leaving space for the birth information. The other pendant is a smiling cloud made of white cardstock, decorated with a small pink bow, from which hang strings with hearts in bright colors (pink, yellow, orange, lilac, and blue) that simulate raindrops.
The entire set has a very sweet and cheerful style, with a color palette designed to convey happiness and tenderness.
