My Adorable Creation: Layered Baby Dinosaur!
Hello everyone! I want to show you one of my cutest and most special designs: this gorgeous three-dimensional baby dinosaur. I fell in love with it from the moment I first conceived it!
My goal in creating it was to capture the sweetness of a baby dinosaur, something not so common. Therefore, I designed it with a facial expression that radiates pure innocence: big, expressive eyes, rosy cheeks, and a barely-there mouth. The overall shape is round and friendly, with a sturdy body that sits playfully, and a gently curving tail.
To bring it to life, I used several sheets of high-quality cardstock to achieve that depth and relief effect I love so much in my projects. The colors I chose are soft and comforting:
- The base and main layers are made of a very soft aqua or mint cardstock, which gives it a touch of freshness and tenderness.
- For the internal details, such as the back pads, I used a light pink or pastel cardstock, which contrasts beautifully with the green and highlights the cheeks.
- For the skin dots and internal details, I used a slightly darker cardstock to add a bit of contrast and visual texture.
I love how each carefully cut layer fits together to build this charming volume. It’s as if the dinosaur comes to life when each piece is put together.

For me, this piece is ideal for decorating baby or children’s rooms with a friendly dinosaur or fantasy theme. I also use it as:
