I made a special craft for the HTVRONT anniversary
HTVRONT anniversary – 7 years of Heat Transfer Vinyl Really Outstanding Never Temporary
I designed a big orange number 7 that turns into a cake: the horizontal stroke has a cream detail as topping with a candle flame. On top of it, I wrote the word anniversary with the Pen function and a copper Uniball Signo metallic pen. The “i” itself is the candle wick.
Above, there’s an arc of 7 balloons in different orange shades, with the central balloon in HTVRONT orange carrying the logo. In the vertical stroke of the 7, I drew the full acronym with a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen. The words “years of” were printed directly inside the number.
To make the piece freestanding, I added a little easel at the back.
To take advantage of the printing space, I also included extra balloons, some plain, some with the logo, and one with the 7 cake-candle as icon. After cutting, I decorated some of these balloons with “Thanks!” and “Congrats!” in white gel pen.
For materials, I used Fotokarton, a heavy white 300 gsm cardstock made for printing which feels like real cardstock, not photo paper. I had just received it and couldn’t wait to test it, so I chose to keep the design as a single piece instead of layered, even though I had several orange tones ready (the 7, the topping, and the balloons are all cut).
Cutting settings:
– Blade: deep cut 60°
– Force: 8
– Speed: 2
– Passes: 1
– Mat: strong grip
– Pen adapters: both pens worked well with force 5, low speed.
Oranges and off-whites, with metallic copper and white pen details.
Lately, I’ve noticed orange is becoming a recurring inspiration for me. My last two projects have also been full of powerful orange tones, a color I didn’t expect to use so much in the middle of summer, but it feels so alive.
Happy anniversary HTVRONT, and thanks for inspiring us to create, share, and celebrate together!
