“Who Needs Halloween—I’m a Witch All Year” Door Decor Tutorial
This project was so much fun to create! Here’s how I made it from start to finish:
Materials I Used:
LokLik Studio – for designing my layout
LokLik IEngraver – to cut and engrave my design
Shellac (Zinsser brand) – for sealing before painting
Tebik Colored Pens – for adding base color
Soucolor Gel Pen Set – for extra details and shimmer
Wood board – as my engraving base
Step-by-Step Process

Designing in LokLik Studio
I created my “Who Needs Halloween—I’m a Witch All Year” design in LokLik Studio. I added a cute haunted house, witch hat, and black cat with my business name Kay’s designz for that perfect spooky-yet-fun vibe. -
Engraving the Design
Once my design was ready, I sent it to my LokLik IEngraver. I used the engraver to cut and fill the entire design directly onto my wood board. -
Sealing with Shellac
Before adding any color, I sprayed a thin layer of shellac over the engraved wood. This helps protect the surface and gives a smooth base for painting. I let it dry completely for over 24 hours. -
Coloring the Design
Next, I used my Tebik colored pens to bring my design to life. The colors blended Beautiful on the wood for extra detail.In sparkle, I went over the area with my soucolor gel pens the glitter ones. -
The Final Touch
After.
Everything dried I admire the final piece and I absolutely love how everything turned out.My only hiccup was that I wanted to design a bit bigger but it still makes the perfect door decor piece for my home.
