DIY Project Sharing | "I Only Cry When Ugly People Hold Me" Baby Onesie

This cheeky baby onesie was inspired by my love for playful, expressive designs that spark laughter and conversation. I wanted to create something bold, humorous, and totally gift-worthy—perfect for baby showers or just everyday giggles.

Materials Used:

  • White baby onesie
  • Printable transfer paper
  • Epson EcoTank 2850 printer
  • HTVRONT H10 12x10 heat press
  • Scissors
  • Design software: Canva (for layout) + IbisPaint X (for mirroring)

Process & Tips:
I designed the graphic in Canva, mirrored it in IbisPaint X, and printed it using my EcoTank printer. After trimming the design by hand, I placed it face down and pressed it with my HTVRONT H10 heat press.

Here’s the tip I wish I’d known earlier: the transfer paper I used specifically advised against using an easy press. It recommended a swing arm heat press or even a home iron. Because I didn’t catch that detail, the design cracked and didn’t fully adhere. Lesson learned! I’ve had great results with this paper using my professional swing arm press in the past, so I’ll be re-trying it that way next time.

This project is a great reminder to always double-check your material instructions—and that even imperfect presses can still deliver a whole lot of personality.

Thanks for the runes, @Elena! Just one question… Are we supposed to do anything with them? Like, post a comment stating we’ve summoned the runes in the Mystery Cube topic thread? Or are they being tracked on the backend, and we don’t need to worry about anything? I’m assuming the latter, but want to make sure.

You’ve got it right, it’s the latter. The runes are being tracked automatically on the backend, so you don’t need to post anything or take any additional action.

Once all Summoners have collectively summoned 50+ runes, those who’ve summoned more than 5 runes will receive special badge headpieces and we’ll unlock the next chapter of this story series. The next phase will feature a public leaderboard showing everyone’s rune counts and will introduce the new game rules.
